Irony

On NPR today, President Bush was quoted as saying - referring, presumably, to Iraq - that "countries making weapons of mass destruction present a real threat."

I guess that means the United States is its own greatest threat. How appropriate.

It still doesn’t beat the (as featured on the Daily Show): “We have to have the terror stop! We have to end the terror in the Middle East! (turns around and grabs golf club) Now, watch this drive.”

Or also on the daily show (and also mangled by my horrific memory) “Bush is vacationing from the bad economy, the lower consumer confidence, and the terror threat.. none of which he has fixed.”
